MAYOR CASHENNA CROSS

City of Glenarden Mayor

Mayor Cashenna A. Cross is a 20-year decorated-active duty retired veteran of the United States Air
Force and NATO. She’s an accomplished community leader with more than 30 years of experience in
community and government service, planning and project management, and philanthropy. On August
18, 2021, she was sworn into a four-year term as Mayor of the City of Glenarden, Maryland “A City on
the Move’ where she did become the 18th Mayor and only the third woman Mayor in the City’s 82-year
history. She holds countless credentials and certifications in government, international relations, and
public affairs. Mayor Cross, a poised executive leader is passionate about leveraging her talents and
resources to positively uplift service to all mankind. Mayor Cross is the wife of Mr. Mario Cross and
mother of two little girls (La’Claire and Zafira), an active member of Woodstream Church, and endeavors
to successfully change the narrative by positive community actions backed by her motto “Moving the
Mission Forward.”
